Friday May 22, 2026:
Teams can book practice times if wanted. Teams will receive a practice schedule on Monday May 11, 2026.
Athlete Combine (Testing) - Inuksuk High School 600pm - 930pm - Team times TBD
Airport - Ground Transportation:
Busses will pick up teams coming in on charters on Friday and will also bring all back to airport on Sunday
Teams arriving on schedule flights will be met at the Airport by VBNU representatives.
Please look for individuals holding VBNU signs when you arrive.
Do not take cabs/taxi’s as we need to have a count of people when they arrive.
Gymnasium – Ground Transportation:
Teams are placed in Pool’s and the ‘Round Robin/Pool Play’ will play in waves at the four schools.
All teams in your Pool will be transported to the school at the same time and returned to your next school at the same time.
A schedule will be provided to each coach and will also be posted at the schools.
IMPORTANT:
VBNU will have an alternate ride provided for your team if your team competes earlier than the pick-up is provided. VBNU will communicate with your coach and have rides set up.
If you do not want to go with the provided transportation, your team is on their own for transportation. No other transportation will be provided.
If you miss the transportation, VBNU will NOT provide alternate transportation.
VBNU is not responsible for your athletes, coaches are responsible for their athletes.
Inuksuk High School will be used to house the athletes from out of Iqaluit.
Accommodations will be available Friday May 22 @ 400pm – Monday May 25 @ 7:00am.
Monday, May 25, 7:00 am check out of rooms.
Daytime and nightime security will be present.
Classroom inspections will take place multiple times a day.
Cots are provided (DO NOT bring a mattress or foam)
Each athlete and coach MUST bring a sleeping bag and pillow.
Showers are available and a shower schedule for coaches and athletes will be provided upon arrival.
Rules, Expectations and Curfew (1030pm) will be addressed at an athletes/team meeting on Friday Evening.
Teams MUST keep classrooms clean at all times.
DEA rules state that coaches MUST stay in the rooms with athletes. This is out of VBNU jurisdiction as this has been passed down to us by the DEA.
The use of perfume/cologne is NOT permitted.
Restaurant delivery to Inukshuk High School ends at 9:00 PM. (All restaurants have been notified)
Teams must keep classroom doors locked.
No one is permitted behind the teacher’s desk in the classrooms.
Teams are required to leave the classrooms clean after checking out.
Smoking is NOT permitted on school property.
Please respect schools at all times!
Damage Deposit:
Each team is required to pay a Damage deposit of $300.00 upon arrival. Cheque or Cash.
Cheques are to be made out to ‘Inuksuk High School’ and will be collected by Bence Csaba – Accommodations Coordinator.
Deposits will be refunded at the end of the tournament.
All meals will be provided at INUKSUK HIGH-SCHOOL cafeteria.
Example of a meal plan is below: Meal plan will be provided by May 18, 2025.
On the FINAL ROSTER sheet there is a place to list any food allergies.
Meal Times will also be provided with the Meal Plan.

** For teams staying over Sunday May 24 – there will be Breakfast provided Monday May 25 morning.

Scoring System:
Round Robin and Consolation Playoffs – Best of 3; 3rd game 15 points, no cap
Semi Finals and Medal Games – Best of 3; 3rd game to 25 points, no cap
Equipment and Net Height:
Official Game Ball - VQ200W
Net Height - Women's - 2.24M; Men's - 2.43M
Protest and Appeal:
All protest and appeals will be overseen by the Competition Jury.

Playing Surface
The following types of issues can be protested or appealed:
An improper decision by the referee who did not apply the rules or regulations (Not including judgement calls)
An improper decision of the scorer, mistake in rotation or on score
The protest will be accepted or rejected prior to the resumption of play.
Protest Process :
i) Captain must verbally notify the official of their intent to launch a protest.
ii) A fee of $100 must be provided and the protest is recorded.
iii) Jury will deliberate and render a decision.
iv) Chairperson of the jury will inform parties involved, of the decision.

18U Territorials will follow the Volleyball Canada Rule book unless stated differently prior to competition.
Gold, Silver and Bronze will be awarded for both categories (Male/Female) – 9 per team
Championship Banner will be handed out for both categories.
Sandy Oolayou Allstar awards will be handed out one per community at the end of the tournament as voted on by Head Coach of the Team and Host committee.
